Five chinese owned warehouses shut down for storage and fabrication of Chanfan

Five chinese owned warehouses at Anwia Nkwantah in the Ashanti Region have been shut down for stocking and fabrication of changfan machines and other illegal mining equipment.

The operations spearheaded by the Environmental Protection Authority come after declaration on the ban on the changfan machines and their fabrication.

Hundreds of such equipment were found in their warehouses, which is supposed to be used for storage of spare parts.

CEO of the EPA, Professor Nana Ama Browne Klutse says the operations will be replicated in other regions affected by illegal mining.
