Two Suspected Armed Robbers Lynched at Mepom
Two suspected armed robbers have been lynched at Mepom in the Upper West Akyem District after they allegedly attacked and killed an okada rider last Wednesday.
According to local sources, the two suspects reportedly snatched a motorbike from the rider, whose name has been withheld, and killed him before abandoning his body in a nearby cassava farm.
While attempting to flee with the stolen motorbike, the suspects encountered a friend of the deceased rider. An alarm was raised, drawing the attention of the youth in the community. The mob pursued the suspects and lynched them.
Police have since launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are urging the public to allow the law to take its course as they work to uncover the full details surrounding the case.
